Agent Provocateur X Lovehoney Bunny Hop
By CarnalQueen
If you were to survey random people and ask them to name a popular type of sex toy, I’m pretty certain that a huge percentage would say a rabbit. To be fair they would probably say “rampant rabbit”, but you get the gist – rabbits are hugely popular. With this in mind I find it really rather strange that rabbits are probably the type of sex toy that I’ve had the least number of over the years. In fact I could probably count the number of true rabbits I’ve had on one hand. This isn’t because I don’t like them, far from it, but I do think there are a couple of reasons as to why I’ve been relatively rabbitless all of these years.
Firstly, for me a rabbit is a sex toy that I use only during sex. Obviously when I’m testing something new I’ll put it through its paces in many different ways, but when I’m left to my own devices it’s never a toy that I would pick up for solo play. I just don’t find them particularly comfortable to use when I’m on my own, purely because of how I like them thrust in and out of me; it’s just not that easy for me to do, and to be able to enjoy it while I’m doing it. I’m built for comfort not agility!
Secondly, I think the shape of a rabbit is very critical. It needs to fit your own anatomy fairly well to get a good result from it. The curve of the shaft needs to be pleasurable to you, the shape of the head needs to be able to tease your G-spot effectively, and crucially the rabbit ears need to be able to play with your clit with ease and perfection. If all of these stars don’t align you end up with an experience that’s basically just meh, and nobody wants that.
The truth is though at least for me personally, on paper rabbits are the perfect toys. Providing the shape is good and the vibration is powerful enough, then they tick a lot of boxes for me. I adore clit play, but I also love to feel like I’m being filled up at the same time. Pair those two things with good vibrations and I’m a happy girl! So how did this Agent Provocateur X Lovehoney offering measure up?
She’s bougie! I mean, just look at it, it’s beautiful. The first thing I noticed was the infamous baby pink. I was so delighted to see the toy in the colour that I strongly associate with Agent Provocateur. Years ago I used to wear their classic fragrance that came in a milky pink bottle. It was my “she’s definitely up for it” scent. Strong, powerful, heady and intoxicating; you couldn’t wear that fragrance and blend into the background. It turned heads, and I always felt super confident wearing it, and CK knew he was in for a good time whenever he caught a whiff. Maybe I need to go off and buy myself a new bottle! So yes, although I may usually avoid pink sex toys where possible, this one screams Agent Provocateur to me, and I couldn’t be happier about that.
The presentation is also a touch on the luxurious side. The faux leather case it comes in is Lovehoney branded on one side and Agent Provocateur branded on the other. Your new Bunny-Hop rabbit sits nestled in a foam insert, and there is of course space for your USB charging cable. Side note on that, the charging cable magnetically attaches to the buttons, so there’s no separate charging port to find on this toy – nifty! The case unzips around the middle, and if I had one small criticism it’s that it doesn’t fully unzip along the one long side. This means you can’t fully open it, so you either have to use two hands or sneak your fingers in, with the case trying to close against them. It’s not a major thing but I would’ve preferred it if I could’ve unzipped the case fully and left it open on my bedside table.
The toy itself is really lovely. It’s quite a petite rabbit so it doesn’t look overwhelming or daunting in any way, and it’s the softest rabbit I think I’ve ever felt. Lots of rabbits seem to have a harder core with a silicone cover over them, but this one is almost squishy. It’s really hard to describe, but the head almost has enough squish that if you squeeze it near to where the ribbed section is, it feels a bit like a ripe plum.
When fully charged the battery will give you around about an hours worth of play, and it has three speed settings and five patterns. The shaft and the bunny ears have separate motors and they can be controlled individually, so you can really play around and find a combination that works well for you. At the largest point the circumference is about 4.5 inches and you have an insertable length of about 4.5 inches too.
If I’ve said it once I’ve said it 1000 times, but I’m a power queen, and if I’m honest I wish that this toy just had a little bit more oomph. I suppose it’s because I prefer constant vibrations, but three speeds just feels a little lacking and I would’ve preferred maybe five or six. The motor that’s inside the shaft definitely feels like it’s producing vibrations that have a little bit more depth to them, whereas the motor in the ears is definitely coming down on the side of being buzzy. It’s no secret I like my vibrations to be deep and rumbly, so the ears section is a little bit disappointing for me, however when paired with the shaft vibrations I can still absolutely make it work for me and my body.
When I’m using this toy alone I do find that I really have to work at achieving an orgasm. Because it’s just easier for me, I find myself trying to focus slightly more on the clitoral stimulation, whilst leaving the shaft fairly still and vibrating against my G-spot. As the clit vibration is quite buzzy, it often takes me some time to get there. When I use the rabbit during sex with CK, and I leave him in control of it, I find that I can actually orgasm really quickly. I think naturally that has something to do with me being more aroused than I most likely would be in a solo session, and also because he can really work thrusting the toy in and out of me quickly, giving my G-spot and my clit everything they need and more. I actually really enjoy using the Bunny-Hop rabbit in this way, and I can see it being a toy we reach for quite often for couples play.
I’m lucky in that the ears naturally seem to land in a really good place for stimulation on the clit for me, but obviously everybody is different and as is always the issue with rabbits, what works for one isn’t necessarily going to work for somebody else. The shape is everything, and it’s a very personal thing.
It’s clear to see it’s a very beautiful rabbit, and if you’re in a relationship where you would give sex toys as presents, I think it would make a really beautiful gift. Agent Provocateur X Lovehoney was the collaboration I never saw coming, but I’m really glad that it did!
