Fun Factory Miss Bi Review
By Carnal Queen.
I’d coveted the Fun Factory Miss Bi since the first moment I laid eyes on it. You know, that moment when you see something, and you know you just have to have it? Well, that’s how I felt about this toy. When it popped up in Lovehoney’s flash Christmas Day sale, I fluttered my eyelashes at CK, and he granted me my wish. I was super excited, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. But things haven’t been too rosy between myself and Miss Bi since we first met, and I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re just not compatible with each other. I think we’re probably too similar … We’re both a little on the short side, both of us have areas that frankly, are a bit too soft and squishy, and it’s fair to say that sometimes, it’s just too damn easy to push our buttons!
I think you’ve worked out by now, that Miss Bi doesn’t really work for me and my body, but that’s not to say that it’s not going to work for everybody, because it’s honestly a very good little vibrator …
The Miss Bi is a dual-motored, silicone and ABS plastic, fully waterproof rabbit vibrator. The shaft and clitoral motors, can both be controlled independently, each capable of three speeds and three patterns. The strength of vibrations is really good, they’re definitely at the rumblier end of the scale, which is my personal preference, and they’re pretty strong and powerful. The Fun Factory Miss Bi utilises their Click ’N’ Charge magnetic charging system. It’s the only magnetic system that I actually like, because it works really well. It doesn’t disconnect if you look at it sideways, like some seem to, in fact, it’s strong enough to hold from any angle. I also like the red USB charging cable, because I’m not going to lose that easily in a drawer full of other, usually black, chargers.
The handle of the Miss Bi is both a blessing and a curse for me. It’s a great idea, and it is much easier to hold when you’re covered in lube, but it’s not without it’s flaws. I find myself holding it with my index finger or middle finger through the loop, giving my thumb the perfect position over the buttons to change the settings of the motors. Trouble is, the buttons are too easy to press, like mega, mega easy. Some people will love this, but for me, for this handle to work as well as it should, the buttons need to be able to stand a light brush with fingers, whilst you’re in the throes of pleasure, without changing the settings, or worse still, switching the motors off completely. They’d be better if they were more flush, and required a little more effort to press, maybe like the Prism VII.
The clitoral arm, which reminds me of Sebastian from the Little Mermaid (it’s waterproof, so you can use it ‘Under the Sea’), strangely overshoots my clit. I say strangely, because I didn’t expect it to be too long at all, but it is. I can get it to make contact, but only if I push the handle down between my legs and withdraw the vibe slightly. Great if you don’t want to thrust, but if I want to be able to thrust with this, and hit the right spot every time, I’d need to attune my skills to the precision of a rifle shooter. Ain’t nobody got time for that! The clit arm is too squishy for me too. Even if I do get it where I need it, it bends away from me with the slightest pressure, and I like to add pressure, especially because the clit arm motor is definitely weaker and buzzier than the main shaft one.
This vibe is marketed for G-Spot stimulation, which is great, but I do find myself missing the length and fill of a tradition rabbit vibrator. It’s girthier at the base (about 5 inches circumference), but not enough to satisfy my needs, and the length (just over 3 inches insertable) leaves me wanting more. I find the buttons a little bit unintuitive too, the top button, when using it on myself, controls the main motor, which is now on the bottom, and the bottom button, controls the clit arm, which is now on the top. It’s a little thing, which you quickly get used to, but it seems backwards to me. The FUN button, in reality, kills all fun, if you accidentally press it, because it stops both motors dead.
We’re just not meant to be, which is sad, because the Miss Bi had my name all over it. If you want a short, high powered, rumbly vibrator, with super easy-to-press buttons, then Miss Bi could be a perfect match for you.
