Original Tool Box Review
By Carnal Queen.
Who’s up for a little bit of DIY? Well you can certainly ‘Do It Yourself’ with The Original Tool Box Fucking Machine! It’s an ordinary, run of the mill plastic toolbox, that would look completely at home on the shelves of any DIY store, or in your workshop, but it’s a fully functioning, bizarrely powerful, sex machine! Sound’s ludicrous, but it’s true!
When the lovely folk at Sexmachines asked me if I’d like to review The Original Tool Box, I think it was mainly my incessant curiosity that won through and made me say yes. I’m very fortunate to have a sex machine already, and I was very sceptical about whether this toolbox was just going to be a novelty product, or something which could prove to be functional and pleasurable. It’s also relatively inexpensive for a sex machine, so was this going to be a viable entry level option for people new to the wonders of machine sex?
The machine arrived promptly and discreetly packaged, as always with Sexmachines. I was keen to get in there, and see what this box of tricks was all about. Some people may not like the retail packaging of The Original Tool Box, the addition of an almost naked woman may deter potential buyers, but to be fair, I have seen much, much worse, and for the price point, I don’t expect fancy packaging, it’s all about the product!
This is a pretty comprehensive package. Not all sex machines come with a bundle of accessories to get you started like this one does, so those thoughts of beginner suitability reared their heads again. If you want to use it as a male masturbator, you going to need to purchase a fleshlight adaptor, but for penetration use, you’re ready to go, straight away. So what do you get inside the box?
- The Original Tool Box Fucking Machine
- Thrust rod shaft (8 inch)
- Power adaptor and cord
- Corded thrust speed controller
- Vac-U-Lock adaptor
- 7 inch TPR beige dildo (veiny)
- Pink finger vibrator with silicone head
- Machine lubrication oil
- Full colour instructions
The Tool Box is surprisingly small, at just 38cm in length, and 18.5cm in height and width. It’s capable of up to 180 strokes per minute, and has a stroke length of 10cm, so it’s not a brutally deep thrusting machine. It weighs just 4.9kgs, so moving it around, and positioning it how you want or need to is very easy. You also get a 1 year UK and worldwide warranty, for your peace of mind.
As I mentioned previously, the Vac-U-Lock compatible dildo the machine comes with is made from TPR. I’m not a huge fan of materials such as this, but the beauty of the Vac-U-Lock adaptor means you can use any compatible dildo you like, so I’ve been able to use the Tool Box with a Doc Johnson Platinum Silicone Vac-U-Lock dildo, which I bought from Sexmachines a while ago. It also means you’ll never get bored, as you can chop and change dildos to suit your mood. The little pink finger vibe is a cute addition to the kit. It’s nice to have some clitoral stimulation as you’re being penetrated, and this does the job nicely. Without the silicone head, it doesn’t feel too exciting, but with it, it really does flutter and vibrate away, adding that little bit extra to your experience.
When you have a dildo attached to the thrust rod, it is very close to the bottom of the Tool Box. I’m not sure, but I’m assuming that this is because of the motor and centre of gravity of the machine. If the rod came out further up the side, I think you’d possibly get tipping issues. So, although it might seem better if it did exit the machine higher up, in terms of use for penetration, it’s easily overcome by lifting the Tool Box up on to something during use. This sounds like a faff, but honestly, the machine is so light and easy to manoeuvre, it’s no problem at all. You can’t adjust the angle of the thrust on the machine, it’s only capable of horizontal strokes, but you can prop it up and get it thrusting at an angle to suit the position you’re in. It’s fun to experiment!
So, does it work and is it effective? Well yes, it totally is! I’ll admit, I was a bit surprised, because this little Tool Box packs some power! My current sex machine goes up to 240 thrusts per minute, so I thought that 180 strokes would feel a little lacklustre, but it really doesn’t. I don’t think you could get a plastic Tool Box going any quicker without the risk of it taking off mid-use! 180 thrusts per minute feels incredibly quick. I find I need to make sure the machine is at the right height to enter and exit my body without any additional resistance caused by the machine being slightly out of line. If it’s straight, it runs uninterrupted and really well, if it’s slightly off centre, I find I can sometimes stop the dildo with my vagina. I have reasonably healthy and strong pelvic floor muscles, but I’m by no means the Incredible Hulk down there! You can purchase an optional extension rod, to screw on to your thrust shaft to make it longer, it’s definitely not an essential item, but it does give you more versatility and room to manoeuvre.
When used in conjunction with the Fleshlight adaptor (available separately), you can turn your Tool Box into an automatic male masturbator, I was pleased by how well the Tool Box coped with this, as Fleshlight’s are heavy, and this machine feels so slight and lightweight. It worked very well, and once you’ve popped the Tool Box on something to give you the correct height, you can have huge amounts of fun. I’d really recommend getting this adaptor, because it adds so much to your machine. CK loves it!
I do like the subtlety of this machine. OK, so if you already have a sex machine, or you’re seeking something that’s more traditional ‘sex machine’ looking, The Original Tool Box Fucking Machine probably won’t be for you. If you need discretion though, a machine that you can conceal without worry, then this really could fit the bill. It’s a great machine to start with if you’re wanting to experiment with machine sex, mainly because of that price! Sex machines can set you back hundreds and hundreds of pounds, and then after the expense, you run the risk of not even liking it! The price of the Tool Box is on par with some higher end sex toys, so it’s good value for money considering what you get. It’s not going to be for everyone though, it’s a lively little thing, and can jump around a bit because of it’s power and lightweight style. It’s obviously quite a bit noisier than a vibrator for example, all machines like this are, so if you house share or have children, it’s something to consider.
Everything packs away neatly inside the Tool Box, and you can add a padlock to stop it accidentally being opened, and because of this it’s very convenient and inconspicuous. It’s heaps of fun too! So are you going to box happy, or save for something more traditional?

Ha so it just looks like a toolbox with a slightly suspicious USB port. This is some serious sex spy shit! I love it!
