We-Vibe Chorus
by Carnalqueen
Would the We-Vibe Chorus make us sing in harmony with pure pleasure? This is the third variation of a wearable vibrator from We-Vibe that we’ve tried, and we were keen to find out if this one could excel where the other models fell slightly short.
Visually, the toy itself is very similar to the We-Vibe Sync. The biggest changes to how it looks come in the form of a sleeker looking charging case, and the remote control, which is now also covered in the same silky-smooth silicone as the vibrator. The colourway we have is the cosmic blue, and it’s a beautiful shimmery deep shade of blue.
The We-Vibe Chorus is generally aimed at heterosexual couples due to the fact that it can be worn during PIV penetration, but it can also be used for solo play, and for couples to use at a distance using the We-Connect app (free to download). So, you do have options with this toy and you certainly don’t have to be in a sexual relationship with a penis owner to use it.
- 2 hours charge gives approx. 90 minutes of play time
- USB rechargeable via storage case (not the remote, this takes a CR2032 coin cell battery)
- 3 speed settings and 7 patterns pre-set
- Connects to the We-Vibe We-Connect app for more customisation and vibration patterns. Control and play from anywhere
- Adjustable fit thanks to two moveable hinges
- Squeeze remote – increase vibration intensity with the squeeze of your hand
- Waterproof IPX7 (vibrator only; remote is just splashproof)
- Touch-Sense technology; allow your movements to control the vibrations (in app mode selection)
- AnchorLink technology which uses the remote as an anchor between the toy and the app, creating a strong and stable connection.
- Dual motors stimulate the G-Spot and the Clitoris, as well as providing vibrations to the penis during sex
Whilst the Chorus definitely does have some adjustability to it, I think it’s fair to say that it won’t be one size fits all. As was the case with the We-Vibe Sync, I do struggle to get the PERFECT fit for my anatomy, at least some of the time anyway. It really does depend on how I’m using the Chorus at the time. On the face of it, not being able to get the most intense vibrating areas to hit me precisely on my most sensitive areas of my clit and G-Spot sounds like a negative, but mostly for me, it’s not. Hear me out on this one. If I think of this as a sex toy, sure it can be a little frustrating if I can’t get this in the perfect shape to use during solo play. It can make achieving orgasm that little bit harder, which can be disappointing. It does get me there eventually though, which is the main objective, I guess.
Realistically though, this isn’t ever really going to be a toy that I reach for when I’m wanting a good solo session and some guaranteed orgasms. It’s USP is definitely the fact that it can be controlled remotely by a partner with the app, and also the fact that it’s a wearable device that can be worn during vaginal sex; and if I consider both of those things, and look at the We-Vibe Chorus as more of a sex aid and not a sex toy, I can start to really get on board with its potential. I want a device like this to add another dimension to sex or to be able to enhance it in some way, not for it to take over and be the main event, and that’s how I can forgive it for being less than pinpoint in its stimulation aim.
Using the Chorus with the We-Connect app can be a lot of fun, and we’ve certainly found it to be a lot more stable compared to the Sync. The AnchorLink technology means it uses the connection with the standard remote as an anchor, allowing the app connection to be stronger and far less likely to drop out on you at a critical moment. It does mean that you need to make sure the remote control is next to you, even if you’re fully controlling the device using the app, but that’s no bother. If I want CK to take control, I can just invite him to play, via the app, and once he’s connected, he can take full control of the vibrations, even creating his own patterns if he chooses. It’s easy to do, and good fun!
Personally, I prefer to only use the app for foreplay and teasing. It’s good fun to wear it when CK knows nothing about it, and to send him a random invite to play. It’s great at building arousal, and setting the scene. I don’t like using it during sex, purely because I want to be having sex, and not playing with my phone, but maybe that’s just me! You certainly do get more options if you control the Chorus via the app, including more patterns, setting the vibrations to music and also selecting a Touch-Sense mode if you like. Honestly though, I usually just set it to the most powerful constant intensity level and crack on!
The squeeze remote is quite a fun and novel way of controlling the Chorus. I think most people can relate to being lost in the throes of passion, and gripping the sheets in sheer pleasure – well now you can grip the remote instead, and as you squeeze, the Chorus vibrates that little bit more furiously. My grip in my hands isn’t fantastic and unfortunately, I find it makes my hand ache if I squeeze too much. So, if you have any dexterity issues, this may be something to consider.
The vibrations the We-Vibe Chorus delivers are fairly good, mid-range vibes. They’re not annoyingly buzzy, and they’re not so deep and rumbly that they’ll have me screaming my way to an orgasm in double quick time. Again, this isn’t a bad thing in this kind of device in my opinion, because I either just want to be teased and aroused if CK is controlling it, or I want to be using it to add a little something extra to having sex. Vibrations that were too powerful would take over, and I don’t want that. I still want to have to work at my climax, and for the sex to be the biggest factor in allowing a climax to build. See? Sex aid, not a sex toy!
My thoughts on the Chorus generally feel quite disjointed, and I think that’s because it’s a device that can be used in different ways, which offer quite different things. I don’t think it’s likely that you’ll find many people who will reach for this first for solo play, who think it’s the best app-controlled toy for long distance fun, and who think it’s the best wearable vibrator for PIV sex. I don’t think it can be everything to everyone. For me, I just know I’ll never reach for this when I’m alone and want an orgasm. We-Vibe do much better toys for that, go and buy yourself a Nova or a Tango, and thank me later!
The Chorus absolutely does have a place though, and there will be lots of people that fall in love with what it can do for them. For long distance loving, or out and about arousal it’s a lot of fun. The technology is great, and allows you to really be at the mercy of your partner. Where I think it really comes into its own though is as a wearable vibrator during sex. I know I’m very fortunate because I’m able to orgasm through vaginal penetration alone, but a lot of women can’t, and the Chorus may really help them to achieve the big O whilst still getting to enjoy sex with their partner. Perhaps you find you can orgasm during sex, but only in certain positions? The Chorus could certainly broaden your pleasure horizons there. I think it would potentially also be good if you have mobility issues and are limited in how you can have sex.
Let’s not forget that your partner will also be able to benefit from the vibrations when worn during sex. CK really enjoys the feel of the vibrations along his shaft as he moves in and out. For him, the vibrations are strong enough to add pleasure, but not so strong that they’re distracting or off-putting in any way. It does of course add to the tightness slightly down there too, which isn’t usually a bad thing. Don’t worry though, it’s not bulky, and won’t get in the way or hinder sex. It can move around a little if your fucking is frantic, but we’ve found it usually stay in place fairly well, even during position changes etc.
Does the We-Vibe Chorus sound like something you’d enjoy? Has your imagination started whirling with ideas of how you’d want to use it? Sure, it’s an investment, but an investment into good sex is a worthy one. The Chorus could be just what you’re looking for!
Lovehoney kindly gifted me the We-Vibe Chorus, but that doesn’t alter my opinions in any way, which are solely mine and mine alone. If you want to check out the Chorus for yourself, you can click through using the appropriate link for your region:
